Veoh
Veoh is a video-sharing community that lets members share video on the Web and watch Web video when not connected to the Internet using a Windows XP and Vista-compatible application. Programming ranges from network news and entertainment to self-produced amateur video. The community features give members personalized recommendations based on their viewing as well as their friends’ suggestions and ratings.
The Veoh community is very active, international in character and programming choices–for instance, there is an active Japanese television fan community with members from many countries. Members discuss video in comments and email messages sent between their accounts.
Vintage television fans will find programs from the 1960s, including Adam-12 and The Dick Van Dyke Show, and there are many recent television programs and movies, such as ER and Ugly Betty.
Videomakers can upload their programs for free using the Veoh Pro tools offered to registered users. It provides the ability to distribute, or syndicate, video through YouTube, MySpace and Google Video with extensive reporting and support for formats that can be played back on Apple’s video iPods.
