Ping.fm helps speed posting to many social networks. It lets members aggregate all their social accounts and post to them all, or individual sites, from a single messaging tool. It is a hub for your social life, collecting your micro-blogging posts, pictures and activity streams and redistributing them across all the places you want to stay connected with. 

Because Ping.fm has built on an application programming interface, or “API,” a variety of applications have appeared that take advantage of, and extend, Ping.fm’s ability to distribute social messages. There is a Facebook application, iGoogle Gadget that installs in your Google home page, Yahoo Instant Messenger application, all of which let you tap Ping.fm’s messaging hub.

It’s a rich tool that is growing more comprehensive all the time. Rather than try to summarize everything it does and fall behind how much there is to Ping.fm, I’m calling for users to explain in comments what they like about it here, so that others can learn how to take best advantage of Ping.fm’s scope when starting out.
