Grouply
Grouply is a site that collects your Yahoo Groups memberships into one place, giving members a convenient view of activity in different groups and help in recruiting new members to groups. It is, frankly, a redundant service to Yahoo’s social features that layers several services, such as photo- and bookmark sharing, tagging and community ratings into an external profile that can be exposed to Yahoo Groups members.

The primary value of Grouply is its message composition interface, which lets you select from your list of Yahoo Groups and post plain or rich text messages with tags to the selected group, and an activity stream that lists messages posted to your groups, as well as who is becoming friends through Grouply. When creating a new group, Grouply logs you into Yahoo using your Yahoo account information, where you can configure the group’s features; after that, you can use Grouply to invite new members from your address book or other Yahoo Groups.
There are myriad paths to piecing these views of your online life together, Grouply has selected Yahoo Groups as the hub of its spoked wheel. The question for potential users is whether the Yahoo Groups world is a necessary and important centralizing point for what they do on the social web.
